The Constitution of the United States is the contract between the citizens of the United States, and the government in which they vest their power.
The three branches of government were set-up to provide the famous "checks and balances" we've all heard so much about.
What happens when all branches are in collusion?

The ratio of diaries about diaries and comments, compared to diaries about matters of substance is appalling.
Perhaps many Kossacks never received the love they needed as a child, I don't know. Why is this space increasingly filled with diaries railing against other postings on this site? Have you all run out of actual political issues to write about?

Troop's Feelings are Now the Basis for Policy & Strategy?

The rhetoric has been out there for a long time now. The "Support Our Troops" mantra has been rendered meaningless by constant use to mean "Support Bush's War".
But when representitives in U.S. House of Congress repeatedly state that foreign policy and military strategy must be based on "how it would make the troops feel"...
